Physical Activity In Primary Schools
HERE TO HELP YOU GET KIDS
INVOLVED
IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY!
OUR TEAM
As a group, we have found out a lot of information about P.A (Physical Activity) and how to incorporate it in to a school learning environment. Here is a bt of information about us and what our views are around P.A. in schools.
I believe physical activity is essential for the emotional and cognitive development of children. It plays a crucial part in growing their fine motor skills. It can also greatly enhance self esteem and pride, and encourage children to be supportive and motivated in a team environment.
Physical activity not only keeps people physically fit, but it also has a huge impact on mental health as well. I believe that as teachers, we have a responsibility to help children understand why physical activity is important and how it can help them maintain or improve an overall healthy lifestyle as children as well as beyond their school years.
Physical activity is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle that will allow you to live your life to the fullest. Physical activity as a part of children’s learning promotes cognitive and skill development, and hauora. Involving students in physical activity is important to help them learn even after they have stopped moving.
Exercise is an important part of health care. Physical activity doesn't just cover involvement in sports or individual exercise. It also includes dance, playing during play time, climbing trees, or even playing tag with friends. It's important for us as teachers to consider each student and provide them with a range of opportunities to choose from so they can enjoy and be part of the physical activity education.
Physical activity serves an important part of the skill, physical and social development of a child. Physical activity engages the children into becoming physically active throughout life, striving for continuous improvement.
I believe that physical activity is essential for children and schools, as there may be students who have never been exposed to any physical activity at any other stage in their lives. It is important for anyone and everyone to be involved in physical activity to stay healthy, but also because I believe it can make you feel a lot happier and it can be a good way to relax. It should be necessary in schools, even if it's only a small amount, it can still make a difference for that child.
I believe physical activity provides us with opportunities to increase/maintain our physical fitness, support our mental health and aid our social development. These are all essential life skills that we as teachers must instill in our students.
I have always been an active individual and enjoyed participating in sporting activities from an early age knowing fully well the benefits it had in both my physical and mental well-being. I would therefore aim to have a classroom atmosphere quite like my experience growing up so my students are not forced into an environment they find unfamiliar, but create a HPE environment so my students can appropriately respond to the context for learning which are elements often invisible to teachers.
Physical activity is about movement with our body. Physical activity is for people like you and me. Physical activity is essential for your health, just try it and see. Physical activity is engaging in activities with our friends and family. It may involve a bit of motivation, determination and responsibility. But most of all physical activity is FREE!
