When teaching physical activity in a primary school, there are many factors that need to be taken into account.
This TEACHING P.A section of the website will describe and demonstrate the following:

UNIT & LESSON PLANS: This page allows you to view various unit plans for students between years 0-6. The first three lesson plans are also included with these to get you started in your teaching. Feel free to adapt these plans to suit your students!

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER AREAS: Here you will find an explanation of what integration is, its benefits and disadvantages as well as some examples of how you can incorporate a bit of physical activity into your other subject areas.

EVALUATION & ASSESSMENT: This page will give you an insight into how teachers can evaluate and assess students physical activity and how this information can be used to further enhance the students learning.

MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES: Let's face it, sometimes it can be difficult to keep your students on track. This page discusses the importance of finding the right management strategies and how you can keep you students safe and on task in a variety of environments.

NZ CURRICULUM & AO MAPPING: Physical activity is just one of the seven KAL's in the HPE area of the curriculum. This page will show you the underlining basis of P.A as well as some of the achievement objectives that you need to be aware of to ensure your students are learning relevant content.
