This CURRENT ISSUES section of the website will describe and demonstrate the following:

OBESITY: This page may shock you, or it may come as no surprise at all. Child obesity is becoming a bigger issue now days and we as teachers, have a fantastic opportunity to do something about it. Have a read of this to find out the facts and see what you can do to help.
-
CULTURAL DIVERSITY: Many schools in New Zealand have a very diverse range of cultures in them. This page discusses cultural diversity from a maori and indian perspective and why it is important to understand different cultures and acknowledge them in your teaching of P.A.
-
DISABILITIES: Here you will find a detailed explanation about disability and some of the barriers you may come accross as a teacher. This page will help you find ways to ensure all students are included in P.A and how it will benefit everyone.
